Capacity Building Programme

As part of capacity building programme, we the first semester students attended a full day seminar on History of Inclusive Education, concepts of inclusion and disability and learning disability. Dr.Kamaludeen K.T and Dr.Roshna V Gopal were the resource persons.

The program named "Break the Brain" session was very useful. The program made us aware that Inclusive education is not a dumbing process, not a test to be experimented, but a value to be followed. The resource persons made us aware that inclusive education is a comprehensive process that begins from the initial thoughts and positive attitude of teachers. Successful inclusive education happens primarily and finally through teacher's sound knowledge on inclusive education practices. As far as I am concerned, I believe that this session helped me a lot to change myself and my viewpoint regarding inclusive education. This session was really an eye opener. The interactive sessions helped us a lot to think deeply regarding this subject. The resource persons cleared our doubts and we

were really enriched by the session.
